History and Establishment
The idea of establishing Khaja Bandanawaz University emerged from the vision of Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini and the Khaja Education Society. The society had been successfully managing several educational institutions across different disciplines for nearly five decades before launching the university.
The Government of Karnataka approved the Khaja Bandanawaz University Bill in 2018, and after receiving the Governor’s assent, the university officially came into existence on 23 August 2018. Later, the Government granted permanent Minority Status to the university.
